Selection Legal
Acceptable Use Policy
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes Content and conduct that are not permitted on Selection.
It forms part of the Selection Legal Bundle and applies to all Users, Creators and use of Selection Studio.
Creators are responsible for ensuring that their Content and use of Selection comply with this Policy and applicable law.
2. General rule
You must not use Selection to create, upload, publish, distribute, promote, facilitate or knowingly make available unlawful Content or Content prohibited by this Policy.
The fact that Selection provides a technical capability does not mean that every use of that capability is permitted.
3. Child sexual abuse and exploitation
Selection strictly prohibits Content that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children.
This includes child sexual abuse material, sexualized depictions of minors, grooming, sexual exploitation, trafficking or solicitation involving minors, and Content that promotes, facilitates or normalizes such abuse.
Selection may take immediate action against such Content and may make reports or disclosures where required or permitted by applicable law.
4. Pornography and explicit sexual content
Selection does not permit pornography or Content whose primary purpose is the explicit depiction of sexual acts or sexually explicit material.
Selection is not intended to operate as an adult-content or pornography hosting service.
This prohibition does not automatically prohibit legitimate non-pornographic educational, documentary, artistic, medical or informational material merely because it concerns sexuality or the human body, provided that the Content is lawful and otherwise complies with this Policy.
5. Non-consensual intimate content and sexual exploitation
You must not publish or distribute intimate or sexual Content without the valid consent of the person depicted where consent is legally required.
Selection prohibits sexual extortion, voyeuristic material, non-consensual intimate imagery and other forms of sexual exploitation or abuse.
6. Copyright and intellectual-property infringement
You must not knowingly use Selection to infringe copyright, trademark or other intellectual-property rights.
You must have the rights, licences, permissions or other lawful authority necessary for Content you upload, embed, publish or otherwise use.
Public availability of material on the Internet does not itself grant permission to republish it.
Rights complaints are handled under the Content Rights & Takedown Policy.
7. Impersonation, fraud and deception
You must not use Selection to:
- materially impersonate another person or organization in a deceptive or unlawful manner;
- conduct fraud or scams;
- intentionally obtain money, credentials or other value through material deception;
- publish materially deceptive Content for an unlawful purpose;
- misrepresent affiliation or authorization in a manner likely to cause unlawful harm.
Parody, commentary, fiction or clearly non-deceptive creative expression is not prohibited merely because it references a real person or organization.
8. Malware, phishing and malicious activity
You must not use Selection to distribute malware, malicious code, credential-stealing mechanisms, phishing material or other Content designed to compromise devices, accounts, networks or data.
You must not use Selection to facilitate unauthorized access, destructive interference or other malicious technical activity.
9. Privacy and personal data abuse
You must not use Selection to unlawfully disclose, collect, solicit or exploit another person's personal data.
You must not use ordinary Selection features to solicit passwords, authentication tokens, financial-account credentials, government identification credentials or similarly sensitive authentication information.
Creators using Sign Up or other interactive features are responsible for asking only for information they have a lawful and legitimate reason to collect.
10. Harassment, threats and abuse
You must not use Selection for unlawful threats, targeted harassment, stalking, extortion or Content intended to facilitate serious harm to an identifiable person.
This does not prohibit lawful criticism, disagreement, satire, journalism or other protected expression merely because it is offensive or unwelcome.
11. Hate and unlawful discriminatory abuse
Selection must not be used to publish unlawful hateful or discriminatory Content or to incite violence or serious harm against persons or groups based on protected characteristics.
Selection may also restrict Content that presents a serious safety or legal risk even where classification under a particular jurisdiction is uncertain.
12. Violence, exploitation and serious harm
You must not use Selection to promote, coordinate or facilitate unlawful violence, human trafficking, exploitation, kidnapping or other serious criminal harm.
Content documenting, reporting, condemning or discussing violence is not automatically prohibited merely because violent conduct is referenced.
13. Illegal goods, services and criminal activity
You must not use Selection to sell, facilitate or materially promote goods, services or transactions that are unlawful in the relevant jurisdiction.
You must not use Selection to coordinate or materially facilitate serious criminal activity.
14. Terrorism and violent extremist activity
Selection must not be used to promote, recruit for, materially support or facilitate terrorist organizations or violent extremist activity where prohibited by applicable law.
Legitimate journalistic, academic, historical, documentary or critical discussion is not prohibited merely because such organizations or events are referenced.
15. Spam and platform abuse
You must not use Selection to:
- conduct unlawful spam campaigns;
- operate automated abuse against Selection or third parties;
- intentionally circumvent security, rate limits or access controls;
- interfere with the normal operation of Selection;
- use the platform in a manner intended to damage or overload its infrastructure.
16. Unauthorized access and account misuse
You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to another User's account, workspace, Content or data.
Account holders must not knowingly provide Studio access to unauthorized persons.
Selection's Studio eligibility rules are described in the Terms of Service.
17. Misuse of interactive features
You must not intentionally manipulate Sign Up, response or similar features through automated submissions, fraudulent response generation, circumvention of abuse controls or other artificial activity intended to misrepresent genuine participation.
Browser-scoped respondent identifiers used by Selection do not establish verified human identity and must not be represented as doing so.
18. Legal orders and regulatory requirements
Selection may restrict or disable access to Content where required by a valid legal order or applicable law.
Selection may preserve or disclose information where required by law or legally binding process.
19. Enforcement
Where Selection reasonably believes that this Policy has been violated, Selection may take proportionate action, including:
- restricting Content;
- disabling access to Content;
- removing Content;
- suspending Studio access;
- terminating Studio access.
A serious single violation may justify immediate action.
Selection may consider the nature, severity, context, recurrence and legal risk of the conduct when determining an appropriate response.
Selection enforcement is separate from User-controlled lifecycle actions such as Archive or Unpublish.
20. Reporting violations
Potential violations may be reported to:
office@selection.rs
Reports should identify the relevant Selection URL or Content and provide enough information for Selection to understand the concern.
Copyright and other rights complaints may be handled under the Content Rights & Takedown Policy.
21. Changes
Selection may update this Policy as the platform, applicable law or Selection's safety and enforcement practices change.
This Policy is versioned.
Where a material update changes the terms applicable to Studio Users, Selection may require acceptance of the updated Legal Bundle before continued Studio use.
22. Language
These documents may be made available in multiple languages. In the event of an inconsistency between translations, the English version will prevail, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
